Our Story
Our founder, Cameron Cloeter, spent much of his career in the retail and CPG industries, working closely with brands and retailers to understand how shoppers make decisions in-store. Before founding Lighting for Impact, Cam built a company called Impulse Marketing Company, where he helped retailers design and improve checkout aisles.
During that time, his team began experimenting with LED lighting on checkout shelves and quickly noticed that when impulse items were illuminated, they became more noticeable and appealing, leading to higher sales.
That insight became Lighting for Impact.
Lighting for Impact specializes in LED shelf and display lighting for retail environments. Our illumination solutions help grocery, convenience, liquor, pharmacy, and specialty retailers improve product visibility and create greater shopper engagement throughout the store.
Lighting for Impact was founded in 2013 on a simple premise: Products perform better when they’re illuminated.
Since then, Lighting for Impact has grown into a leading shelf lighting company serving the retail industry. Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, and still family-owned, our solutions are found in 75,000 locations across convenience, grocery, liquor, hardware, sporting goods, and many other specialty retail formats.
Our shelf lighting solutions make products easier to see, improve the store’s overall look and feel, and draw attention to the categories that matter most. For retailers, that can mean highlighting high-margin products, modernizing older store environments, improving category presentation, or creating a more inviting shopping experience.
